Welcome to Skippings Fine Arts

Skippings Fine Arts is an art business based between Norfolk and Paris, specialising in 19th and 20th century painting, sculpture, and selected tribal and ethnographic works.

The focus is simple: to present artworks with presence, character, and a strong sense of identity—works that people not only want to live with, but would not want to live without.

Skippings began as a gallery in Great Yarmouth and has since moved beyond a fixed gallery space, allowing for a more direct and personal way of working. While no longer tied to a permanent location, the emphasis remains on close contact with artworks: seeing them properly, researching them, handling them, and placing them carefully. I sometimes describe it, half in jest, as an art adoption agency
