Welcome to Skippings Fine Arts!
We are Fine Art dealers between Norfolk, England and Paris, France. Specialising in 20th century pictures and Tribal Art, we look forward to presenting you art that is eclectic, beautiful, and which touches the soul.
After over a year exhibiting art and trading from our beautiful gallery the heart of Great Yarmouth’s historic centre, “Skippings Gallery” has now become “Skippings Fine Arts”, as we have moved our business online.
Well – not quite! Paintings and sculptures are physical objects, not just images. They should -and need- to be appreciated “in the flesh”.
Giving up the Yarmouth Gallery is allowing me to do more events, more fairs, and to meet you – artworks in hand – wherever you might be: in Paris, Norwich, London, or elsewhere in the world. Moreover, it leaves me more time to attend auctions all over France to find the highest quality, most exciting and best value artworks for you, my clients.
Most of the gallery’s current stock of artworks predating the 1960s is now clearly and professionally presented on “Sellingantiques”. You may view it here:
I am in the process of listing our post 1960 artwork in the “Shop online” section – so please do take a look!
Further works by the artist available in the “Shop online section” and in the SkippingsFineArtNewsletter_6
Thank you to all of you who came to my Pop Up at the Georgian House in December!
Thank you for your purchases, your encouragement – I hope I managed to convey what is, in a sense, the mission of Skippings: to present gorgeous, rare artworks and the stories they hold in a beautiful, yet natural setting.

If there are paintings you’d like to view in Norwich, Paris or London, please don’t hesitate to give me a call on 0747 257 2398 to organise a viewing time. It’s no trouble at all!
Touchingly, the painting bears the artist’s full address in Paris on the verso of the frame. It is likely that the picture figured in the 1959 exhibitionat the Galerie Bernheim-Jeune, and that she shipped it herself to a collector – on 12-12-1959.
Further details on request.
